What is a Transdermal Piercing? Also known as a microdrmal implant, these piercings utilize a surface anchor to secure to the body. It uses a small flat plate that is just below the skin and is connected to the visible portion, such as a diamond or stell ball, and protrudes through the skins surface. Transdermal Piercings offer a stylish way to have a piercing that does not require passing through a body part such as an ear lobe and attached to backing device.
