John Eden - John is the owner of EdenInk Tattoos and has been a tattoo artist for 10 years.

Favorite Style of Tattoo - Black and gray shade with leanings toward the dark side of the mind. For some strange reason my dark side sometimes gives way to doing flower tattoos which I really love.

What Are My Influences - Actually I am influenced by the world itself and the people in it. Being the son of a career military man, I have travelled extensively and have seen people of all walks of life and they along with all I have seen has made a huge impact in my life. I love the reaction when a person sees the end result. The look on thier face the first time they see their new tattoo really moves me.

My First Tattoo - I was 13 and living in Colorado. My father was the Command Sergeant Major, U.S. Army at Fort Carson and he and my brother had tattoos. I wanted one just like they had and begged for one until one night my father sat me down and told me he would give me one at the kitchen table. Yes, I said the kitchen table, and no I do not agree at all with doing tattoos at home; much has changed since those days. Anyway he grabbed a wooden matchstick and 3 sewing needles and placed the needles on the stick and wrapped thread around it several times to hold them in place and was all set. He let me have a couple shots of vodka and started to work. It didn't hurt like I thought it would and every since that day there was a special bond between my dad and I. That experience led me to where I am today, doing what I love..... tattooing.
